More ways to practise ..

1. Informal.
Marchlands, a ghost story drama currently on ITV, cross cuts between 3 simultaneous narratives set at different times but the same location. It's quite fun but even if you don't want to devote 3 hours to it, it's worth checking out an episode to see how they manage the transitions .. lots of graphic match, action match, pan and wipe etc.

2. A formal timed practice for your mock A/S exam Thursday March 3rd.

This is the link to the clip used in the Jan 2011 exam. Watch the first 5 minutes and analyse how the repreentation of gender is constructed using camera, editing, mise en scene and sound.
